The Shockwave Therapy

Treatment method with focused sound waves containing a mechanical pressure and tension wave which can be used promisingly for soft tissue pain. One of the biggest advantages of shock wave treatment is the few side effects, which are harmless. This treatment has been used in orthopaedics and sports medicine since the 1990s and has shown statistically significant treatment results:

  • the calcifying tendinitis of the shoulder
  • rear sole pain with and without heel spur
  • the tennis elbow
  • delayed bone fracture healing
  • missing bone fracture healing

Empirical successes

Empirical treatment success was shown in:

  • the Achilles tendon inflammation
  • the heel spur
  • patella tip syndrome
  • the golfer’s elbow
  • chronic tendon insertion disorders
  • periarticular soft tissue calcifications
